The Alchemy of Lead into Gold!

How do I strike Gold in the mind,

discover the truth, the Pearl to find?

This "Rock of Ages" or philosopher's Stone,

inSpires my will to keep on going.

~

Perhaps it is right before our eyes,

the golden Sun that daily rises;

an inner light we take for granted,

questioning what is already answered.

~

Like the children busy parents ignore,

their delightful spirits we want to adore; 

or magical moments here and now,

we missed by just not being around.

~

We worship money for material greed,

far beyond what we really need;

the fools-gold of the atheists,

in whose minds God still persists.

~

We cannot repress our divine essence,

only deny and fall into ignorance;

our spiritual side will not be denied,

 emerges again in another guise.

~

My leaden thoughts of rationality,

into a golden Mind I wish to see;

the alchemical process of immanence,

refines our earth into transcendence.

~

Prima materia is the basic matter,

heavy lead of the primal instincts;

the animal spirit we all have inside,

dragon-fire purifying into light.

~

This flame of life becomes our Gold,

like lust turning into Love behold;

we all undergo these transformations,

from lower to higher sublimations.

~

Seed of the golden "Word" resides,

within the gut of visceral desires;

each must follow their Spirit dreaming,

the lost talent of childlike imagining.

~

For no one can enter Heaven's kingdom,

unless they "become like little children;"

Christ refused to touch Roman coin,

for he was rich with golden Joy.
